This page is dedicated to Goanne and Chideny Jean-Louis, true pillars of strength and generosity. As a Haitian immigrant, Goanne has dedicated her life to uplifting and uniting her fellow Haitians in their transition to American life. She opened the doors of her own home, offering shelter, clothing, air mattresses, and her knowledge of the English language to those in need, never hesitating to give everything she had to support others.
Through her remarkable efforts, Goanne created transitional housing for newly arrived Haitians, helping them find livable spaces and secure employment. She even provided transportation to ensure they could get to their jobs and start building better futures. While juggling the demands of nursing school and working in medical records, Goanne not only became a successful registered nurse but also a beacon of hope for her community.
Her journey would not have been possible without the unwavering support of her husband, whose partnership was vital to her success. Together, they formed a powerful team, one that empowered Goanne to become not only an amazing nurse but also a philanthropist and job coach, touching countless lives along the way.
Goanne's kindness, determination, and heart for service are an inspiration to all who know her. She is more than a nurse—she is a mentor, a humanitarian, and a true force for good.
More of their story to come...
